SAE Workshop with Bob Katz

SAE Institute Brussels organized in May 2010 a workshop together with the world's most famous mastering engineer Bob Katz. That was -a once in a lifetime experience- that I could not miss.
At SoundReplay studio, my main goal is to have artists who feel relax at the studio when tracking, and have an excellent recording in the end. As I believe that recording is an art that needs practice and experience, high quality studio equipment and a lot of patience, this workshop was another step to achieve that goal.
I really enjoyed listening to Bob, who's not shy of making a good joke. He took us through his presentation with nice games...and one could win the latest "release" of his book "Mastering Audio, the art and the science SECOND EDITION". Unfortunately, I was not a lucky winner but hey, I bought that book already 5 years ago
(and damn, I forgot my copy to have it signed... but Bob, maybe one day I'll come to Florida to have it signed anyhow...)
So Bob, thank you for taking us through your workflow, explaining your thoughts on the newest TC Electronic Loudness Meter (LM5D)...I NEED TO HAVE THIS!!!... and most of all...trying to convince us that the loudness war is our responsibility!
Much appreciated,
Dirk
